My mother and I religiously watch Man Shops Globe together so it's no surprise I adore Anthropologies items. These pieces by Kylie Johnson really caught my eye, I love the idea of crockery that gives you a little life lesson.

Last Friday I shared with you all some paintings by a South African artist & to start this week off I thought I'd share some more local goodness by a guy named Daniel. Daniel Naudé that is.


All of these photo's were taken in rural parts of SA and have me itching to get out and explore my own country.

Living in South Africa, we get to experience a mild form of Winter compared to most other places, but when that time of year rolls around I find myself dressed in scarves, boots, jackets, beanies etc and end up getting a few odd glances from others because frankly, it isn't that cold. Just once, I wanna find myself actually needing all the layers of clothing I so often adorn in Winter.

I do admit that I probably wouldn't last very long with this much snow, but I can only be certain of that by actually experiencing it, right?

My version of Winter

I'm not that mad about the beach in Summer, but in Winter I love the sort of eerie feeling it can have. These photo's for West East Magazine sum up that sentiment perfectly.

I hope you all are having a wonderful Saturday, a friend of mine is coming around this afternoon with her History notes in tow as we try to get some studying done for our test next week. I'm almost certain that we could find a way to clarify baking a batch of chocolate brownies as studying..

I am in absolute adoration of her work and just with how relaxed it feels. I'm also loving the quirky touch of adding silly stickers to film prints. That's definitely something I did when I was younger.

The Language of Flowers

A few weeks back (I can't believe it's been so long already) some of my amazing friends bought me the prettiest bouquet of flowers to celebrate the last night of my school's run of Hairspray. I didn't have a big enough space in my room to put the whole bunch so I separated them up into little bundles and popped them into little glass bottles.








There is just something about having flowers in a room that puts me in a good mood. I'm also now in love with carnations & definitely need to try my hand at growing my own.

I've been waiting with baited breath for taylor paige to update her gorgeous blog as of late. She's been treating us all with photo's of her recent travels though Eastern Europe. Could I get any more jealous? I think not.
