I want to run away to the woods, collecting plant specimens & catching butterflies.

I'm sorry for my absence these past few days. I've been terribly sick & had large amounts of stressful school work. Tonight, though, I'm going to spend some time with the crazy people I call friends and eat pizza.

my sunday afternoon

I spent most of my time in our courtyard; drinking tea, reading Emma by Jane Austen & eating strawberries.





This little tea pot was a gift from my grandmother to her sister. She bought it in London on her trip there in 1995. My grans sister (my great aunt?) has been keeping it for me since then. My gran died a few months after returning home from England.

This little tea pot is quite a special one for me. I love having something tangible that can remind me of my granny.

summer of '36

the cats pajamas' found these gorgeous photos from 1936-1938 in a basket tucked away in a antique store. What a lovely find! The first photo is my favourite. I cannot get over the perfect composition & the ripples of the water.

a little bit of hope

My mom & I have been talking & we may have come up with a solution for my etsy shop dilemma.

We'll have a joint store with my vintage clothing & prints and her homemade cushions,necklaces etc. I'll do the photographing and listing of products while my mom handles all the bank stuff. I think it could work :D

lookbook love - prints

Prints are fantastic! It's so easy to wear them since you don't have to worry about accessories or fancy hair or any of that nonsense because one good print piece, whether it be a dress or a skirt paired with a plain top, can carry itself without any help.

Tea cups & Flowers

Two great things but when they're put together they are outstandingly girly in such a good way!

I've started collecting old teacups recently (by recently, I mean yesterday). I have three now and when I have a few more I'm going to plant cute little flowers in them and sit them on my bedroom window sill (:

It's back to school today after five weeks of holiday.

I'm quite annoyed at the moment.
Last week I went to the bank to get a new account up and running, one that would specifically work with etsy, and now I find out that they still gave me the wrong type of account after spending about three hours there.

I'll find a way to get things sorted but I'll do that tomorrow. Right now I'm going to make a mixtape of all my favourite happy songs & let music work it's magic to get me back to my cheerful self.

Who knew that the incredibly talented Anja Louise of Clever Nettle could draw so well! I came across these gorgeous prints of a series of paintings from the 20s & 30s on her etsy shop. All the images were inspired by clothing she found on ebay but couldn't buy.

Today, I spent the day in Kalk Bay with Ashleigh. We had so much fun rummaging through all the antique stores & eating ice creams in the middle of winter! :D







Right now I'm off to watch the Ghana v Uruguay game at a friends house. Ghana all the way! They have definitely made Africa proud (:
